You can save PDFs to your iPad using iBooks.

iBooks comes already loaded on to your iPad, so you just need to open a PDF in Safari and you will see the Open in iBooks link appear in the upper right part of the screen screen. Click on the link and your PDF document will automatically be saved to iBooks. PDFs in iBooks can even be read offline, so you can access them any time you need them.  See the accompanying link to access a visual guide to saving PDF articles from EBSCO databases.
