Wikipedia is not usually considered a good source for academic papers. It it not a scholarly source and not always reliable. However, there may be a time where it is appropriate.
Here's the general form for citing a Wikipedia entry:
Title of entry. (year, Month day). In Wikipedia. Retrieved from http://www.entirewebaddress.com
Here's an example:
Whistler, British Columbia. (2013, September 23). In Wikipedia. Retrieved from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whistler,_BritishColumbia
